Job summary

IQM Quantum Computers is seeking a quantum engineer to join the Calibration Automation team in Espoo. You will help advance calibration strategies for the QPU, developing scalable calibration graphs and robust calibration methods across chip architectures.

This role sits at the intersection of experimental physics, software development, and quantum hardware engineering, offering a collaborative environment with flexible hours and hybrid work arrangements in a world-leading quantum computing

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Physics or Quantum Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience calibrating quantum systems across architectures (single- and two-qubit gates, readout, etc.).
• Excellent Python software development skills and software engineering practices.
• Ability to plan, execute and analyze experiments independently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to improved calibration logic development and scalable calibration graphs.
• Develop calibration methods for future chip architectures.
