Job summary

Talentedge in Copenhagen is seeking an Energy Analyst to join its Energy Operations team. The role sits at the heart of a quantitative, technology-driven trading desk that uses market data, machine learning and algorithmic strategies to inform decisions and manage risk.

You will contribute across the full algorithm lifecycle, from development and calibration to backtesting, implementation, validation, monitoring and ongoing optimisation, collaborating with Quant, Technology and other teams while

Qualifications

• 2/3+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally within energy trading or financial markets.
• Strong Python skills are essential
• Experience with quantitative or data-driven trading approaches
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to work effectively with large datasets
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or another relevant quantitative discipline
• SQL experience would be advantageous
• Structured and detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy
• Able to operate independently in a fast-moving environment and move between priorities

Responsibilities

• Developing and improving quantitative trading strategies
• Supporting calibration, backtesting and live implementation of algorithms
• Monitoring algorithm and system performance and identifying areas for optimisation
• Reviewing trading positions and overall exposure, making adjustments where appropriate
• Analysing market and fundamental data to support trading decisions
• Working with large datasets and applying analytical techniques to identify opportunities and risks
• Collaborating closely with Quant, Technology and other teams across the business
• Contributing to the smooth operation of the trading desk on a day-to-day basis
