Job summary

Talentedge in Copenhagen is seeking an Energy Analyst to join its Energy Operations team. The role sits at the heart of a quantitative, technology-driven trading desk that uses market data, machine learning and algorithmic strategies to inform decisions and manage risk.

You will contribute across the full algorithm lifecycle, from development and calibration to backtesting, implementation, validation, monitoring and ongoing optimisation, collaborating with Quant, Technology and other teams while

Qualifications

• 2/3+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally within energy trading or financial markets.
• Strong Python skills are essential
• Experience with quantitative or data-driven trading approaches
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to work effectively with large datasets
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or another relevant quantitative discipline
• SQL experience would be advantageous
• Structured and detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy
• Able to operate independently in a fast-moving environment and move between priorities

We are supporting a growing energy trading business in Copenhagen in the search for an Energy Analyst to join its Energy Operations team.

The business operates a quantitative, technology-driven approach to trading, using market and fundamental data, machine learning and algorithmic strategies. The energy desk has been expanding over the past few years, creating an opportunity for an experienced analyst to take on a broad role across trading strategy development, algorithmic systems and day-to-day trading operations.

The Role

The position sits within a team responsible for developing new strategies and ensuring that trading algorithms and systems perform effectively in a live environment.

You will be involved across the full algorithm lifecycle, from initial development and calibration through to backtesting, implementation, validation, monitoring and ongoing optimisation.
