Verda in Helsinki is seeking a Senior Energy Market Analyst to own the Nordic power market analytics, defining forward cost estimates and connection opportunities. You will build the analytical backbone from scratch and collaborate with Construction, Site Acquisition, Finance and Global Policy to inform fast, data-driven decisions.

We value deep Nordic market experience, strong modelling skills, and the ability to translate complex analysis into actionable guidance for executives.

Qualifications

Five years or more in energy market analysis, origination, or grid and system planning.
Deep Nordic power market experience built inside the market itself (TSO/utility/trading).
Genuine command of market mechanics: spot/forward, price areas, congestion, hedging.
Fluent English.

Responsibilities

Own the house view on forward power cost and connection availability in the Nordics.
Build and maintain a quantitative view of Finnish and Nordic power markets.
Advise on grid connection strategy country by country.
Model policy/regulatory impact on power cost and connections.
Support go/no-go decisions with site acquisition and construction.
Choose data sources, models and tooling for energy analytics.
