Job description

NG Nordic is a leading Nordic provider of circular solutions and environmental services. By transforming waste into valuable resources and removing hazardous substances from circulation, we are avoiding emissions, protecting natural ecosystems and scaling access to circular materials.

NG Nordic is a vital part of the Nordic industrial infrastructure, generating EUR 1,3 billion in revenue with a team of about 3,400 employees and 90 sites.

Quality Manager, NG Nordic Industrial Waste Services

Are you ready to shape quality management in a meaningful environment with high impact and turn management system requirements into practical routines that create real business value?

Industrial Waste Services (IWS) is NG Nordic’s business platform offering full-scale waste services for industrial customers, with a strong focus on safely removing hazardous substances from circulation. IWS operates across Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway and supports customers with total waste management services, hazardous waste treatment, thermal treatment, final disposal of inorganic waste, environmental projects and water treatment services.

About the role

In this role, you will coordinate the development and implementation of the IWS Quality Management System across Nordic IWS operations, with a focus on practical implementation in Finland’s daily business. You will work closely with operational management, process owners, EHSSQ teams and other stakeholders to turn common requirements into clear and effective ways of working.

The position is based in Finland, preferably in Espoo or Riihimäki, with a flexible hybrid working model that combines office presence, remote work and regular visits to our operational sites.

Your key responsibilities

  • Own and coordinate the development of the IWS Quality Management System across Nordic IWS operations and support its implementation in other IWS countries.

  • Ensure the local implementation, maintenance and practical use of Management Systems in Finland’s daily business operations.

  • Lead the development, harmonization and governance of IWS processes, process ownership and common ways of working.

  • Coordinate internal and external audits, value chain audits, certification activities, management reviews and related follow-up.

  • Coordinate handling of quality deviations, non-conformities, corrective actions, continuous improvement activities, KPIs, reporting and use of quality data.

  • Act as a key user for the EHSSQ Management System IT platform and promote a visible, useful quality culture integrated into daily work.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a structured and collaborative professional with a practical mindset and the ability to connect management system requirements with operational business needs. You enjoy working with both development and implementation, and you are comfortable coordinating topics across functions, sites and countries.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Proven track record and experience in operating in industrial business operations and embedding Quality Management into daily operations

  • Experience in internal and external audits.

  • Strong teamwork and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize your own work, drive initiatives forward and influence across functions, countries and organizational levels.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Finland and across the Nordic countries.

  • Fluent Finnish and English language skills.

We consider it an advantage if you have

  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management Systems or ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems.

  • Familiarity with risk management, compliance management and chemical management.

  • Knowledge of Nordic languages such as Swedish, Norwegian or Danish.

What we offer?

This role gives you the opportunity to shape quality management in a complex business environment, influence common ways of working and strengthen local implementation. You will also help build a culture where quality is part of everyday business, not just a management system requirement.
