Wärtsilä is seeking a Continuous Improvement & Planning Expert to drive development of R&D and Engineering planning frameworks and to lead structured problem-solving events. The role is based in Vaasa with hybrid remote work and focuses on cross‑team planning in a matrix organization.
Ideal candidates have an MSc in Industrial Management, 3+ years in project/change management and continuous improvement, and strong facilitation and lean/agile skills.

We are looking for aContinuous Improvement & Planning Expertwith main responsibilities in cross-team planning and way of working development. This means supporting the adoption of improved practices across RDE, as well asfacilitatingevents fore.g.planning, process development, and problem-solving.
The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work.
As a CI & Planning expert, your workwill includefacilitatingthe development and continuous improvement of R&D and Engineering's ways of working bymaintainingand evolving the frameworks, processes, and methodologies that enable effective planning, development, and collaboration.
Additionally, you will manage the planning process together with project managers. You willfacilitateregular or topic-specific events such as planning sessions, retrospectives, development workshops, and structuredproblem-solvingactivities by ensuring smooth execution and high-quality outcomes.
Your work also includes supporting line managers and teams in helping them build their capabilities and work more efficiently. You will contribute tostrengtheninga culture of continuous improvement across the organization and activelypromotecrossfunctional learning and collaboration.
