Elomatic, a leading international engineering consultancy, is seeking a Quality Lead for the Marine Business Unit. The role focuses on embedding quality across projects, processes and services, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction in a global context.

The position involves coordinating with project teams, business leaders, and international partners, driving continuous improvement, and aligning practices with ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in engineering, technology, or quality management.
• Proven experience in quality management, QA, and operational excellence.
• Experience in project-based engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; familiarity with ISO 14001/45001/27001 is a plus.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Fluent in Finnish and English; willingness to travel globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality management activities within the Marine Business Unit.
• Maintain and develop ISO 9001-aligned processes and company standards.
• Support project teams in quality planning, QA, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor project quality via KPIs, audits, lessons learned, and CAPA.
• Facilitate root cause analyses and improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and supplier quality activities.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Lead to Marine Business Unit to elevate our quality culture and performance across our operations and projects. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our projects, processes, and services meet the highest standards while driving continuous improvement across our global marine business.

Your role and the team

As a Quality Lead, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management practices that support operational excellence and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with project teams, business leaders, and international partners to ensure that quality is embedded in everything we do.

This position is based preferably in Turku or Espoo.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading quality management activities within the Marine Business Unit
• Maintaining and developing processes in alignment with ISO 9001 principles and company requirements
• Supporting project teams in quality planning, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
• Monitoring projects quality performance through KPIs, audits, lessons learned, and corrective actions
• Facilitating root cause analyses and improvement initiatives
• Performing internal and external audits
• Supporting supplier and partner quality management activities
• Promoting a quality culture and sharing best practices across teams
• Collaborating with business leaders to enhance operational efficiency and project delivery performance
• Working closely with the Elomatic Corporate Quality Team to ensure alignment of quality practices, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

What Helps You Succeed In This Role

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field (preferably in engineering, technology, quality management)
• Experience in quality management, quality assurance, and operational excellence
• Experience in project-based business and engineering environments
• Good understanding of quality management systems and ISO 9001 requirements. Understanding ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and/or ISO 27001 are considered an advantage.
• Planning and problem-solving abilities, and continuous improvement mindset
• Fluent communication skills in Finnish and in English
• Willingness to global travel occasionally
