Job summary

Patria is seeking a systematic and hands-on Purchasing Specialist for DWS Operations, UAS-Systems. You will ensure material availability, coordinate with suppliers, and support inbound logistics to sustain drone and unmanned systems production.

The role requires experience in operational purchasing, ERP/MRP systems, and strong collaboration with internal stakeholders. English and Finnish language skills are essential; located in Finland.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational purchasing, procurement, material planning or similar roles.
• Ability to work with ERP/MRP systems and maintain accurate purchasing data.
• Interest in technical products and ability to read item data and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure material availability by placing purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
• Monitor shortages and supply risks; coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain purchasing parameters and supplier/item data in the ERP system.
• Communicate with domestic and international suppliers.

• Participate in developing operational purchasing processes and practices.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, sourcing, logistics and other teams.
• Support supply chain development for drone and unmanned systems activities.

We are now searching for a

Purchasing Specialist, DWS Operations, UAS-Systems (2 positions)

Our Defence and Weapon System business area production environments depend on reliable purchasing of components, efficient logistics coordination, and strict compliance with international trade regulations. To support our Defence and Weapon System operational growth, we are looking for a systematic, highly hands-on and performance-driven Purchasing Specialist to ensure uninterrupted supply chain and material flow. Purchasing Specialist is responsible for operational procurement. You work in close collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You monitor and develop supplier quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure material availability for production by placing purchase orders and following up order confirmations and deliveries
• Monitor shortages, delivery deviations and other supply risks, and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Maintain purchasing parameters, supplier and item data in the ERP system
• Communicate actively with domestic and international suppliers
• Support inventory management and the coordination of inbound logistics
• Participate in the development of operational purchasing processes and working practices
• Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, sourcing, logistics and other internal stakeholders
• Support the establishment and development of the supply chain for drone and unmanned systems activities

What we expect from you

• Previous experience in operational purchasing, procurement, material planning, supply chain or a comparable role
• Experience with ERP- or MRP-systems
• Ability and willingness to work with ERP-systems and maintain accurate purchasing data
• Interest in technical products and ability to understand item data and technical documentation
• A systematic, proactive and practical way of working
• Good collaboration and communication skills
• Good Finnish language skills and good working proficiency in English
• Interest in drones, unmanned systems and emerging technologies

Considered an advantage

• Experience in industrial- or production-related purchasing
• SAP or SAP S/4HANA experienceExperience in an international supplier environment
• Understanding of electronics, mechanical components, assemblies or other technical products
• Experience in regulated, security-critical or defence-related industries
