Job summary

Metso is seeking a Proposal Engineer for CSP Upgrades to join the Crushing Service Products team. You will prepare and deliver proposals for crusher upgrade projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, competitive bids and customer success.

Reporting to the Upgrade Proposals Manager, the role offers hybrid work options based in Tampere and other locations, with travel around 10%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in proposals, project management, engineering, or sales of mining or mechanical equipment.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams across engineering, sales, and project environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Salesforce and SAP is a plus.
• Knowledge of crushing equipment and related products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage proposal workload and timelines to ensure on-time delivery aligned with financial targets for bookings and margin.
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive proposal progress and alignment.
• Prepare accurate, high-quality proposals and supporting documentation in line with company standards.
• Review customer requests for quotation (RFQs) and distribute specifications to relevant teams for input.
• Support bid/no-bid decisions and contribute to proposal strategy development.
• Define project scope, value proposition, and execution plans with internal stakeholders.
• Partner with sourcing and procurement teams to develop cost estimates and assess risks and opportunities.
• Review contractual terms in coordination with legal teams to ensure compliance with company policies.
