Job summary

Optimus Search is supporting a Finnish pharmaceutical client with a QMS transformation. We seek a Senior eQMS Implementation Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new or upgraded electronic Quality Management System, working on behalf of the pharma manufacturer.

The role is freelance for 6-9 months, starting November 2026 or flexibility. Hybrid work with 1-2 days onsite per week in Kuopio, Finland, ensuring GMP alignment and successful system adoption.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing eQMS implementation projects in pharma or life sciences.
• Hands-on with Veeva Vault QMS, MasterControl or TrackWise.
• Strong GMP knowledge and quality management processes.
• Client-side project management experience on QMS implementations.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Experience managing external vendors and implementation partners.
• Ability to lead complex implementations and work independently.
• Hybrid work arrangement with 1-2 onsite days weekly in Kuopio.

The Opportunity

We are currently supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Finland with an upcoming Quality Management System (QMS) transformation project.

We are looking for an experienced Senior eQMS Implementation Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new or upgraded electronic Quality Management System, working directly on behalf of the pharmaceutical manufacturer.

This is a client-side position requiring someone who has successfully managed pharmaceutical QMS implementation projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and upgrade of an electronic Quality Management System (eQMS).
• Manage project delivery, timelines, milestones and stakeholder coordination.
• Act as the client-side Project Manager, overseeing external software vendors and implementation partners.
• Coordinate internal Quality Assurance, IT and business teams.
• Support the integration and improvement of pharmaceutical quality processes, including CAPA, deviations, change control and document management.
• Ensure the implementation aligns with GMP requirements and business objectives.
• Identify project risks and ensure successful system adoption.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing eQMS implementation projects within pharmaceutical or life sciences environments.
• Experience with Veeva Vault QMS, MasterControl, TrackWise or equivalent platforms.
• Strong understanding of GMP and pharmaceutical quality management processes.
• Previous experience working client-side on QMS implementation projects.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Experience managing external software vendors and implementation partners.
• Ability to work independently and lead complex implementation projects.
