Job summary

Convergint Finland Oy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and coordinate multiple complex projects, including leading teams and managing key relationships with customers and contractors. You will drive project delivery, cost control, and governance from bid phases through execution, with frequent Nordic travel.

Qualifications

• Higher Education or University Graduate in Project Management.
• PM experience is required; minimum two years in project management roles.
• Experience leading projects in electronic security, network/IT, or related fields is preferred.
• PMI/PMI-ACP or similar certifications are a plus; valid driving license is required.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Project Manager, you will be expected to Manage, oversee and coordinate

key projects assigned to you, this may include managing direct reports on more

complex schemes and multiple project activities over a range of projects.

As a team member, you will also be expected to support, Coach, Mentor and

train the Engineers within the team to improve individual skill sets and

understanding.

You will be a strong communicator, building sound relationships with customers,

General Contractors and stakeholders, taking a key role and lead with project

escalations. You will have overall responsibility for customer satisfaction in all

assigned projects.

Working with the commercial team support with technical aspects during the bid

phases and then from project commencement you will have overall responsibility for

execution and delivery of the scheme, including ensuring the supply chain is robust,

contracts are duly in place, robust cost management is adhered to, management of

engineers, and subcontractors; planning and scheduling contracts, preparation of revenue

and invoicing forecasts for the team, Contract cost analysis and assist with Final

accounts, variations and disputes.

Develops procedures collaboratively with the team and engages in regular process

reviews.

This is a role that will require frequent travel and overnight stays in Nordic countries.

Job Responsibilities

• 1. Manages, oversee s and coordinates all aspects of project activities including, but not limited to, the following: planning, qualifying booked margin, review of proposals and bookings for the team. Coaches, Mentors the projects team to improve an individuals skillset and productivity. Overall responsibility for customer satisfaction on all Projects and deliverables.
• 2. Overall responsibility for execution of contracts – estimated cost vs. actual cost; review of contracts; supervision of engineers and subcontractors; planning and scheduling contracts, preparation of invoices, and collections.
• 3. Effectively communicates goals to the Projects team and communicate with the wider organization as and when required and maintains accurate and up to date job cost records, and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports.
• 4. Develops and implements strategies under the guidance of the operations team that improve execution and provide additional value to customers in a cost-effective manner.
• 5. Proactively communicates with and seeks feedback from all customers. Seeks to continuously improve customer satisfaction. .
• 6. Meets with their customers on a regular basis to ensure that we are providing quality installations and meeting their individual needs.
• 7. Utilizes financial systems to review actual vs. estimated contract costs and to provide timely and accurate financial reports for their Projects.
• 8. Manages individual performance and personal development including appraisals along with performance of subcontractors and LSPs.
• 9. Supervises colleagues (typically, Project Specialists, Engineering Specialists, Customer Support Specialists, and/or Installers) in a manner that maintains morale, skills proficiency and productivity. Assist with Recruitment and hire team members as required. Managerial responsibilities include but are not limited to: mentoring, coaching and developing colleagues; planning, assigning and directing work; performance management; project budget.
• 10. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required by the operations management team.

Education Requirements

• Higher Education or University Graduate in Project Management.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of Two years of previous Project Management, either in service,
• field or office-based Project Management experience

Experience of Management in one or more of the following industries preferred

• Electronic Security, Network/IT.
• Previous People Management experience

Certifications & Licenses

• Project Management Institute (PMP/PMI) certification preferred but not essential;
• industry-specific certifications and/or licenses required; must have valid drivers license
• with a clean driving record
