Job summary

Academic Work Finland Oy seeks an IT Project Manager to lead delivery projects for IT Service Management (ITSM/ESM) and Identity and Access Management (IAM/IGA) solutions across Swedish and Finnish markets, including public tender work. You will work with sales, technical consultants, and clients to ensure successful project delivery and high customer satisfaction.

Hybrid work is available from Espoo (Säteri), Kuopio, Oulu, or Stockholm offices, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience leading IT projects.
• Fluent Swedish and English; Finnish language skills are an advantage.

About the role

As an IT Project Manager at our client, you will be responsible for delivery projects of IT Service Management (ITSM/ESM) and Identity and Access Management (IAM/IGA) solutions. Your work will focus particularly on the Swedish and Finnish markets and successfully executing projects related to public tenders. You will work closely with sales, technical consultants, and clients to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction. In your daily work, you will manage multiple, very different types of projects simultaneously. Your desk will have a mix of small, fast-paced assignments, large long-term projects, and everything in between. The workload can come in waves, so the role requires strong prioritization skills and a genuine motivation to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.

You can work in a hybrid model from the Espoo (Säteri), Kuopio, Oulu, or Stockholm office, and you enjoy meeting colleagues and clients face-to-face regularly. The role requires an occasional willingness to travel according to project and client needs.

Work tasks

In your role as an IT Project Manager, you will take comprehensive responsibility for the planning, execution, and steering of client projects related to service and identity management solutions. The tasks include close collaboration with sales, technical experts, and clients, resource and budget management, and regular reporting on project progress.

• You will be responsible for the comprehensive planning and implementation of IT deployment and development projects.
• You will guide and coordinate technical consultants and the project team.
• You will monitor project resources, budgets, and schedules, ensuring they are adhered to.
• You will report regularly on project progress to steering groups and stakeholders.
• You will ensure customer satisfaction and active communication throughout all project phases.

We are looking for

• At least 2 years of previous experience in leading IT projects.
• Fluent skills in Swedish and English, and Finnish language skills are an advantage
• Command of various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile and Waterfall).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Genuine technical interest and curiosity – you want to understand the service and identity management solutions being delivered.
• Willingness to travel when projects require it.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with stakeholders.

It is highly meritorious if your background includes:

• Experience with public administration tendering processes and working with public sector clients.
• Experience in delivery projects for SaaS-based or platform solutions.
• Background in project management on the vendor/supplier side.
• Basic proficiency in German or French.
