Job summary

ABB Oy, Distribution Solutions in Vaasa, is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily assembly line operations. You will lead, train and motivate teams, ensure safety, quality, and on-time deliveries, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a two-shift, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• B. Sc. or M.Sc. degree in industrial management, electrical and/or automation, or related field.
• Several years of working experience; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of mass production and logistics processes; open to continuous improvement.
• Understanding LEAN methods and basic financial factors.
• Ability to lead a team and coordinate assembly & testing operations.
• Strong communication skills in Finnish and English.
• Proficient MS Office and SAP experience.

Production Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

We are looking for a new Production Supervisor to join our team at ABB Oy, Distribution Solutions in Vaasa. As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily assembly line operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. You will lead, train, and motivate a team, enforce safety protocols, and implement quality control measures. Additionally, you will troubleshoot issues, maintain production records, and promote and execute continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with other production supervisors, supply chain management, order handling team, global manufacturing support team, sales, quality, R&D and NPI-team. As a production supervisor you will also need to be prepared for some work in the evening shift as our production is mainly organized around a 2-shift model. Qualifications For The Role

• B. Sc. or M.Sc. degree in industrial management, electrical and/or automation, or related field
• A few years of working experience. Previous supervisory experience is considered an advantage
• Knowledge of mass production and logistics processes (including electronical equipment’s), with ability to optimize these. Open-minded and enthusiastic about constant improvement and innovation.
• Understanding basic LEAN methods and financial factors
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, plan, oversee and, support assembly & testing operations. Solutions-oriented approach and decision-making abilities
• Team player with good communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders. Fluent written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English
• Self-motivated and result-oriented attitude with the ability to plan tasks and resources effectively to accomplish work duties
• Good MS Office and overall IT skills. Previous experience with ERP system like SAP
