Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking a Process Engineer to design fuel systems for LNG, Methanol and Ammonia and to follow the full lifecycle from design to commissioning at shipyards.

The role focuses on piping & instrument diagrams, process equipment selection, and thermodynamic calculations, with collaboration across disciplines and with customers, suppliers and classifications societies in an international setup.

Qualifications

• MSc in Chemical and Process Engineering or Energy Technology is required.
• Experience with AutoCAD is required.
• Experience with process simulation software (AspenTech, MATLAB, AFT Fathom) is required.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
• Knowledge of the marine/shipbuilding industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Over see full lifecycle of products from design to commissioning at shipyards.
• Design fuel system solutions for LNG, Methanol and Ammonia.
• Create piping & instrument diagrams (P&ID) and specify process equipment.
• Perform thermodynamic and pressure drop calculations and simulations; develop operating procedures and technical documents.
• Collaborate with international teams, customers, suppliers and classification societies; contribute to ongoing development of fuel supply systems.
