Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required in a relevant field.
• Strong expertise in corrosion, electrochemistry and materials degradation.
• Experience with experimental corrosion or electrochemical research; high-temperature water chemistry valuable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct research related to corrosion, electrochemistry and materials degradation, especially in nuclear energy and demanding environments.
• Develop experimental approaches for studying corrosion and electrochemical phenomena, including high-temperature and water-chemistry environments.
• Take technical responsibility for research and customer projects and contribute to large national and international projects.
• Build new research projects and funding proposals with colleagues, customers and partners.
• Develop customer relationships and identify opportunities for VTT's corrosion and electrochemistry expertise.
