Job summary

Aspia Group is seeking a Platform Engineer who sits between platform operations, DevOps practices and development teams. You will help create standardized capabilities, tools, guardrails, and ways of working that enable secure, scalable and efficient deployment, integration and operation of solutions.

You will support development teams as they adopt platform services and work through production incidents, providing hands-on guidance and practical recommendations.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in platform engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and developer enablement.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise, including administration or operational support.
• Experience supporting development teams in onboarding, troubleshooting, and production incidents.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, cloud security, access management, and automation.
• Ability to work in a structured, service-minded and proactive way with stakeholders.
• English proficiency; Finnish or Swedish is a plus.
• Relevant education or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Guide development teams in adopting platform services, deployment patterns, and operational practices.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting for production issues involving CI/CD, access, or cloud foundations.
• Develop and maintain reusable platform capabilities and automation.
• Take operational responsibility for GitHub Enterprise including governance.
• Collaborate with architects, security, and ops to align platform solutions with governance requirements.
• Contribute to documentation and onboarding materials.

Job description

As a Platform Engineer at Aspia, you will work at the interface between platform operations, DevOps practices, and development teams. The role combines platform engineering, operational support, automation, and developer enablement. You will help create and improve the standardized capabilities, tools, guardrails, and ways of working that enable development teams to deploy, integrate, and operate solutions in a secure, scalable, and efficient way.

A significant part of the role is to support development teams both when adopting platform services and when resolving production-related issues. In practice, this means providing hands‑on guidance, troubleshooting support, and practical recommendations for deployment pipelines, integrations, access patterns, operational readiness, and platform-related incidents. You will also take operational responsibility for GitHub Enterprise, including administration, maintenance, access management, governance support, and continuous improvement of the developer expert.

Skills & Requirements

• Support development teams in adopting platform services, DevOps practices, deployment patterns, and operational ways of working
• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and guidance for production‑related issues where platform services, integrations, CI/CD pipelines, access, or cloud foundations are involved
• Develop, maintain, and improve reusable platform capabilities, standards, and automation that make solution delivery more secure, consistent, and efficient
• Take operational responsibility for GitHub Enterprise, including administration, maintenance, access management, repository governance support, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with development teams, architects, security teams, and operations stakeholders to align platform solutions with business, security, and governance requirements
• Contribute to documentation, onboarding material, support models, and practical guidance that help teams use platform capabilities effectively
• Promote DevOps principles, standardization, automation, and operational excellence across the platform and developer community

What We Expect From You

• Solid experience in a platform engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or similar technical role
• Good understanding of modern software delivery, CI/CD practices, operational support models, and developer enablement
• Hands‑on experience with GitHub Enterprise or similar source control and DevOps platforms, including administration or operational support
• Experience supporting development teams in solution onboarding, troubleshooting, incident analysis, and production‑related technical issues
• Good understanding of Microsoft Azure, cloud platform services, security principles, access management, and automation
• Ability to work in a structured, service‑minded, and proactive way while collaborating effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Experience with infrastructure as code, scripting, or automation is an advantage
• Good written and spoken English; Finnish or Swedish is an advantage
• Relevant education or equivalent practical experience
