Personal assistance is a service where the personal assistant acts as the client’s hands and feet, performing tasks that the client could do themselves but cannot do alone due to disability or illness.
The goal is to help the client with everyday tasks at home and outside the home.
Typical tasks are everyday chores such as helping the client in the store, going for a walk, eating, cooking, dressing, hobbies or household chores.
We have found, as the employer of many personal assistants, that the best fit is a person with the right attitude to support work. An assistant should be reliable, positive, helpful, hardworking and people-oriented.
Prior experience is not required, as every new assistant is trained in our own Aarre Academy before starting.
Experience or training in the care sector can be an advantage for some clients.
