Job summary

Valmet in Finland is seeking a Payroll & Time Management Process Specialist to own and develop payroll, time management processes and operating models. You will be the key expert driving harmonization, automation, and scalable solutions across HR operations.

• Several years of experience in payroll, time management, HR operations, or related process roles.
• Strong understanding of payroll and HR systems, integrations, and end-to-end data flows.

• Strong analytical thinking with a solution-oriented, hands-on approach.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management across functions.
• Fluent communication in Finnish and English.
• Ability to take ownership, work independently, and drive change in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop payroll and time management processes, systems, and operating models.
• Act as the main user and expert for payroll and time management solutions.
• Drive process harmonization, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support system implementations, integrations, testing, and change management activities.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and collective agreement requirements.
• Provide reporting, training, and expert support across the organization.
