Job summary

Skyward Select is seeking an Operations Director to lead expanding hyperscale data-centre operations across Finland. This newly created role provides strategic operational leadership across multiple projects and regions.

You will shape delivery strategy, establish standards, and build senior management structures to support a growing portfolio of complex data-centre projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Operations Director or senior leadership role.
• Strong background within a major MEP contractor.
• Extensive experience delivering hyperscale data centres or mission-critical developments.
• Experience managing multiple projects or a regional project portfolio.

Job description

A major MEP contractor is looking to appoint an Operations Director to lead its expanding hyperscale data-centre operations across Finland.

This is a newly created and highly strategic position, providing operational leadership across multiple projects rather than responsibility for one individual scheme.

You will help shape the regional delivery strategy, establish consistent operational standards and develop the senior management structure required to support a growing portfolio of technically complex data-centre projects.

Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will oversee project performance, commercial delivery, procurement, commissioning strategy, client relationships and future project mobilisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple hyperscale data-centre projects.
• Develop the regional delivery structure, management teams and reporting processes.
• Establish consistent standards across programme, commercial management, procurement and commissioning.
• Oversee Project Directors and senior project delivery teams.

• Proven experience in an Operations Director, Project Director or senior operational leadership position.
• Strong background within a major MEP contractor.
• Extensive experience delivering hyperscale data centres or other mission-critical developments.
• Experience overseeing multiple projects or a regional project portfolio.
• Strong commercial, contractual and programme-management capabilities.
• Experience developing senior teams and implementing operational structures.
• Detailed understanding of MEP delivery, procurement, testing and commissioning.
• Excellent client-facing, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to be based in Finland and operate across multiple project locations.
