Job summary

OP Pohjola's 2027 Kiitorata Trainee Program in Helsinki invites 39 open-minded talents for dynamic roles across corporate banking and debt capital markets. Trainees will support bond issuance, liability management, and sustainable financing, while building modeling and pitch capabilities in collaboration with syndicate and trading teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills, basic understanding of capital market trends and sustainable finance; Bloomberg terminal experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in assisting the execution of capital markets transactions across Corporate/FIG bonds, liability management and sustainable bond structuring.
• Be involved in the pitching process, helping to win new business.
• Assist in the execution and pitching of financing and refinancing deals with DCM Syndicate, Syndicated Loans and Structured Finance.
• Prepare capitalization and bond pricing models in Excel to support pitching.
• Assist in preparing and developing pitch books, market updates and Excel tools.
• Prepare bond pricing mechanics for regular updates to clients.
• Manage internal processes for deal pitching and executions.
• Work closely with Syndicate, Fixed Income Sales and Trading, Credit Research and Legal.

OP Corporate Bank’s Debt Capital Markets team is a leading bond arranger for Finnish

corporations providing a wide range of capital markets offerings, including liability management transactions and sustainable financing solutions (such as green bonds and other sustainable bonds). We serve clients in the Nordic region with a focus on corporations and financial institutions.

You will join OP Corporate Bank's Debt Capital Markets team in Helsinki, Vallila.

Key responsibilities

• Play a key role in assisting the execution of capital markets transactions across
• Corporate/FIG bonds, liability management and sustainable bond structuring
• Be involved in the pitching process, helping to win new business
• Be involved in the execution and pitching of new financing and re-financing deals in coordination with DCM Syndicate, Syndicated Loans and Structured Finance
• Prepare capitalization and bond pricing models in excel to support pitching
• Assist in preparing and developing pitch books, market updates and excel tools
• Prepare bond pricing mechanics for regular updates to clients
• Manage internal processes for deal pitching and executions
