Job summary

Outokumpu in Finland seeks three Onsite Network Specialists to manage the local network environment at the site. You will install, configure, monitor, and maintain LAN/WLAN infrastructure and work with stakeholders to keep services reliable.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in a related field, 2–5 years in key network technologies, knowledge of firewalls and DHCP, and strong English and Finnish communication. Most work is onsite with safety compliance and minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field.
• 2–5 years of experience in key network technologies.
• Good knowledge of LAN, WLAN, firewalls, and DHCP.
• Experience in network installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Good communication skills in English and Finnish, both spoken and written.
• Proactive working style with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage own time and workload.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that safety rules and regulations are followed in all daily activities.
• Take responsibility for the Local Area Network, LAN, within the assigned support area.
• Install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain manageable network infrastructure.
• Support fault correction and preventive actions to improve network reliability.
• Assist with the design of local network solutions and requirements.
• Coordinate and implement local network changes.
• Maintain operational documentation, configuration records, and CMDB data to ensure accuracy.
