Job summary

Destia is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead environmental matters on our data center project across Finland, with travel between sites. You will supervise on-site environmental compliance, coordinate with project teams, and ensure adherence to permits and client requirements.

The role combines hands-on site work with documentation, reporting, and ongoing improvement of safety, environmental, and quality practices within project management.

Qualifications

• Strong documentation, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work both on site and in an office environment.
• Good English skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and develop environmental matters on the data center project.
• Ensure compliance with permits, authority requirements, client obligations, and project objectives.
• Organize environmental inspections, site walks, and reporting observations.
• Identify environmental risks, manage them proactively, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Manage environmental documentation, monitoring, and handover materials.
• Guide site personnel and subcontractors in environmental practices across projects.
• Cooperate with project management and stakeholders for smooth execution of environmental matters.
• Continuously develop safety, environmental, and quality practices within project management.
