Destia is seeking a Commercial Project Manager for a major data center project in Northern Finland. You will lead cost management, monitor budgets, and handle commercial risk with the project team and client.

The role requires travel between sites and collaboration with designers, subcontractors, and management to sustain strong financial performance. The position offers permanent employment and will be based mainly at the data center site in Northern Finland.

Qualifications

• A relevant higher education degree in construction, engineering, finance or a commercial field.
• Strong experience in cost and commercial management of construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in roles such as Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager or Cost Manager.
• Solid understanding of cost structures, contracts and commercial aspects of construction.
• Experience managing variations, additional works and commercial risks.
• Ability to analyze costs, forecasts and project finances and present findings clearly.
• Excellent Excel and systems skills.
• Strong collaboration, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsabilités

• Lead project cost management and financial control.
• Monitor budget, costs and forecasts for the project.
• Prepare cost reporting and financial forecasts for management.
• Track variations, changes orders and contract costs.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier contracts and invoicing.
• Coordinate commercial matters with management and client.
• Develop and optimize commercial processes within the project team.
• Communicate financial status to stakeholders and management.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and support decisions.
• Ensure compliance with the project’s commercial framework.
