Job summary

Darwin Engineering is seeking an experienced MEP Site Manager for a large data centre project in Finland. You will lead on-site delivery of the full MEP package, coordinating HVAC, electrical, and BMS/controls contractors, and guiding installation through testing, commissioning and handover.

Job title - MEP Site Manager
Client Location - Finland
Remote work offering - 0% (fully on-site)

Contract Length - 12 Months (start January 2027)
Contract type - Freelance

Project focus

Site management of the full MEP package on a large-scale data centre build in Finland. You will run day-to-day site delivery, coordinating mechanical, electrical and BMS/controls contractors through installation, testing, commissioning and handover, and making sure the building management system integrates correctly with the wider mechanical and electrical services.

Key skills and Experience required

• Proven track record as a Site Manager on complex MEP / building services projects
• Strong MEP background covering HVAC, chillers and chilled water, AHUs, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps and cooling, BMS, LV/HV distribution, generators and UPS, etc
• Experience managing subcontractors, site teams, programmes, resources and interfaces across disciplines
• Ownership of installation, testing, commissioning and handover sequencing, including quality inspections, snagging and defect close-out
• Strong site health and safety knowledge
• Data centre or other mission-critical experience (pharma, healthcare, semiconductor, industrial) strongly preferred, ideally including integrated systems testing
• Available to work on-site in Finland
