Job summary

Darwin Recruitment is seeking an experienced MEP Site Manager for a large-scale data centre project in Finland. The role is fully on-site for a 12-month freelance period, coordinating mechanical, electrical and BMS contractors from installation through handover.

You will ensure seamless integration of the BMS with other building services, manage subcontractors and site teams, and uphold rigorous safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive site management of complex MEP/building services projects.
• Strong MEP background covering HVAC, chillers, pumps and BMS.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, site teams, programmes and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day on-site delivery of a large-scale data centre build in Finland.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical and BMS/controls contractors through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Ensure integration of BMS with wider mechanical/electrical services and verify quality inspections, snagging and defect close-out.
• Maintain high site health and safety standards and comply with project procedures.

Project focus
Site management of the full MEP package on a large-scale data centre build in Finland. You will run day-to-day site delivery, coordinating mechanical, electrical and BMS/controls contractors through installation, testing, commissioning and handover, and making sure the building management system integrates correctly with the wider mechanical and electrical services.

Key skills and Experience required

• Proven track record as a Site Manager on complex MEP / building services projects
• Strong MEP background covering HVAC, chillers and chilled water, AHUs, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps and cooling, BMS, LV/HV distribution, generators and UPS, etc
• Experience managing subcontractors, site teams, programmes, resources and interfaces across disciplines
• Ownership of installation, testing, commissioning and handover sequencing, including quality inspections, snagging and defect close-out
• Strong site health and safety knowledge
• Data centre or other mission-critical experience (pharma, healthcare, semiconductor, industrial) strongly preferred, ideally including integrated systems testing
• Available to work on-site in Finland
