Job summary

Fortum seeks a Communications Manager, Media Relations to join the Corporate Communications team at our Espoo headquarters. You will oversee the Fortum News Desk, plan and execute corporate and Finnish media relations, and prepare and edit releases and background materials.

You will engage with internal and external stakeholders, manage media monitoring, and act as main contact for CRB media relations colleagues in Sweden, Norway and Poland.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in communications and media relations.
• Ability to write clear, comprehensive releases in English and Finnish.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of Fortum’s operations.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute corporate media strategies and manage corporate media relations in Finland.
• Prepare and edit corporate news, statements, and background materials in English and Finnish.
• Manage media monitoring services and produce media reports.
• Oversee the Fortum News Desk, guidelines, processes, and tools.
• Coordinate external communications with internal stakeholders and regional teams.
