Job summary

Fortum Finance organisation is leading a SAP ERP transformation from the corporate head office in Espoo, Finland. The role focuses on shaping a clean SAP core architecture, guiding development teams and stakeholders, and ensuring go-live readiness across a large enterprise.

The successful candidate will drive end-to-end process development, maintain the SAP landscape, and support continuous development post go-live within a hybrid work model in Espoo 2-3 days per week.

Qualifications

• A relevant academic degree in IT, Computer Science, Data or similar field.
• Minimum seven years of experience working with SAP solutions (e.g. S/4HANA, BTP, ECC, Ariba).
• Experience in large-scale ERP implementations, mergers and transformation projects.
• Excellent cross-SAP module and function end-to-end process development.

• Shape Fortum SAP clean core architecture and design SAP standard process technical solution roadmaps.
• Provide coaching and guidance to development teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Lead solution-related decision making and ensure processes consistency.

About the role

Fortum Finance organisation is embarking on an exciting transformation journey. With a clear target state for our Finance operations in sight, you will have a lead role in the ongoing SAP ERP transformation. You will contribute to end-to-end processes development, ensuring alignment with business requirements, and supporting implementation throughout the project and after go-live.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Shape Fortum SAP clean core architecture and design SAP standard process technical solution roadmaps
• Provide coaching and guidance to development teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
• Lead solution-related decision making and ensure processes consistency
• Drive and support testing, validation and ensure go-live readiness
• After go-live, act as a key expert in continuous development and lifecycle management
• Maintain SAP functionality, application landscape and data flow documentation

This is a hands-on and influential role where you will work closely with Finance, business divisions, other IT teams and external partners to build and maintain a modern, scalable ERP. We are looking for a new team member to join us in our corporate head office in Espoo, there we work in a hybrid model and the team is present at the office 2-3 times a week.

About you

You have an extensive track record in finding solutions to SAP architecture, process development and implementing them successfully in large organisations. You have a solid understanding of how various frameworks come together and how to apply them in practice to get a good overall solution to complex organisational architectural SAP problems. You naturally follow through on your work and ensure it delivers the desired impact across the organisation.

Other things you need in order to succeed in this role:

• A relevant academic degree in IT, Computer Science, Data or similar field
• Minimum seven years of experience working with SAP solutions (e.g. S/4HANA, BTP, ECC, Ariba)
• Experience in large-scale ERP implementations, mergers and transformation projects
• Excellence on e-2-e process development cross SAP modules and functions
• Strong knowledge of SAP technologies and wider on business solutions, integration design, data management and cloud-based platforms
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
• A proactive, solution-oriented and collaborative way of working
• Strong accountability mindset with the ability to drive progress and engage stakeholders
• Experience working in a complex enterprise environment with multiple stakeholders
