Job summary

KCMG Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead complex mechanical projects across Finland and Sweden. The role covers planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover, working with clients, main contractors, and internal teams onsite.

You will drive project performance, manage risks and variations, and ensure quality and safety standards throughout the lifecycle. This role is based onsite in Finland/Sweden with international opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale mechanical installation projects.
• Strong knowledge of building services systems, construction methods, and commissioning.
• Experience managing budgets, procurement, and commercial performance.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with client focus.
• Experience on data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or large commercial projects advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Attend project start-up meetings and manage all mechanical delivery from inception to completion.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements.
• Collate and track technical submittals through to client and consultant approval.
• Maintain labour trackers and monitor resource allocation.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and manage changes, risks, and variations.
• Coordinate procurement, delivery, and management of project plant and equipment.
• Develop and monitor construction and commissioning programmes.
• Oversee commissioning activities and support handover.
• Manage project documentation and document management systems.
• Attend subcontractor meetings and drive performance.
• Participate in site coordination and progress meetings.
• Communicate innovative project solutions and site improvements to teams.
