Headquartered in Dublin and recognized as a trusted leader across the continent, they are currently spearheading major hyperscale digital infrastructure developments in Finland across Espoo and Kirkkonummi.

These advanced campuses-featuring cutting-edge cooling systems, complex pipework infrastructure, and sustainable utility integrations-demand exceptional engineering oversight. To drive these critical mechanical works forward, our client is seeking an accomplished Mechanical Package Manager to join their on-site team.

Role Overview

Based full-time on-site in Finland, you will take end-to-end ownership of the entire mechanical package. Your remit will cover complete oversight of design coordination, procurement, installation, rigorous testing, and final commissioning. By closely coordinating subcontractors and site teams, you will ensure that these large-scale mechanical systems are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to world-class quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full-Package Lifecycle Management: Direct the complete mechanical systems package from initial design coordination through to installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • QHSE & Subcontractor Leadership: Oversee site safety, champion a strong QHSE culture, and manage subcontractor activities to ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Commercial & Schedule Control: Manage project schedules, resource allocation, and all associated costs-including labour, subcontractors, materials, plant equipment, variations, and valuations.
  • Documentation & Progress Reporting: Maintain meticulous snagging systems, technical documentation, and photographic records, while producing comprehensive internal and external progress reports.
  • Project Handover & Close-Out: Participate in site meetings, reviews, and handovers, and support seamless project close-out including O&M manuals, punch lists, QA dossiers, and safety files.
  • Logistics & Change Management: Schedule and track material deliveries while coordinating change management processes to capture cost and programme impacts.
  • Commercial Governance: Lead weekly commercial meetings to capture variations and issue accurate cost reports to the client.
  • Process Development: Collaborate with other package managers to develop and implement standardized company procedures.
What We Are Looking For
  • Educational Background: Relevant bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Industry Experience: Proven project management experience, ideally gained on large-scale, complex mechanical systems projects within data centres, pharmaceutical facilities, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Technical & Commercial Expertise: Solid grounding in design-and-build projects, industrial relations management, and health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to balance multiple priorities and drive high team performance.
Why Join?
  • Career Growth: Accelerate your professional development within a fast-expanding, high-demand technology sector.
  • High-Impact Projects: Leave your mark on critical digital infrastructure powering Europe's cloud capacity across Espoo and Kirkkonummi.
