IQM Finland Oy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to translate complex concepts into robust, manufacturable hardware for quantum systems. You will design mechanical structures, cryogenic assemblies, and production-ready components that influence performance and reliability.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years designing mechanical systems for industrial, scientific, or commercial products.
• Proficient in CAD design using Autodesk Inventor; experience with Vault is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), manufacturability, and structural analysis.
• Collaborative engineer with ownership mindset and clear communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Design and document mechanical components and assemblies for IQM's quantum computing platforms, including framing, mounting solutions, cable routing, and cryogenic structures.
• Create 3D models and production-ready designs using Inventor and Vault, integrating third-party components.
• Collaborate with cryogenics, vacuum technology, microwave engineering, and manufacturing to develop reliable mechanical solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, evaluate trade-offs, communicate decisions, and work with suppliers to bring designs into production.
• Produce high-quality engineering documentation: production drawings, assembly instructions, component specifications, and regulatory compliance documentation.
• Take ownership from concept through release, improving manufacturability, quality, and long-term reliability.
