Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Vantaa, Finland to develop and test mechanical designs of UPS systems and accessories. You will design sheet metal, die cast, and molded parts, select materials, optimize costs, and document BOMs while ensuring maintainability and safety.

The role requires a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, up to 5 years’ design experience, and strong English communication. Collaboration in R&D projects and hands-on prototyping are core aspects.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Up to 5 years mechanical design experience expected.
• Good verbal and written English required.

Responsibilities

• Sheet metal, die cast, and injection mold design.
• Material design and surface treatment selection.
• Product cost optimization using DFSS principles.
• Design for maintainability and safety.
• Cable and harness design and prototyping.
