Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Vantaa, Finland to design, document, and test UPS system components and accessories. The role involves sheet metal, die cast, and injection mold design, material selection, and design for maintainability and safety. You will work with Product Management, Technical Support, and Sales to resolve issues and drive robust mechanical solutions.

Qualifications include a B.Sc. or M.Sc.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Up to 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Basic understanding of material properties and manufacturing methods.
• Good verbal and written English communications.
• Experience with 3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for making, innovating, documenting, and testing mechanical designs of UPS systems and accessories.
• Sheet metal, die cast, and injection mold design.
• Documenting mechanical, harness, and assembly (BOM) designs.
• Providing technical support on UPS systems to Product Management, Technical Support, and Sales.
