Academic Work is seeking a Customer Solution Engineer to bridge customers and the engineering team on global marine projects. You’ll transform customer needs into technical specifications for non-standard vessels, coordinating between sales, engineering, and shipyards.

You’ll work on end-to-end project coverage from early engagement to delivery, ensuring compliance with marine standards and safety while supporting the sales process with technical and cost-focused input.

Qualifikationen

• Requires degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
• Fluent English skills, written and spoken.
• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Vertex.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe, visiting shipyards.
• Strong proactive attitude and excellent communication and prioritization skills.
• Understanding and interest in modern digital solutions.

Aufgaben

• Translate customer needs into optimal technical specifications and solutions.
• Participate in customer meetings and provide technical and cost-related support to sales.
• Create detailed specifications for non-standard marine projects.
• Coordinate engineering schedules and delivery timelines between the supply line and the customer.
• Ensure proposed technical solutions comply with marine codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Analyze change requirements during project delivery and propose updated solution plans.
• Conduct occasional site visits to shipyards and vessels for hands‑on technical coordination.
• Conduct site surveys onboard ships for modernization projects.
