Job summary

Stora Enso Oyj is seeking a Manager, Process Engineer to lead energy‑related engineering development and process optimization. The role can be located in Helsinki or Stockholm, or at one of the mill sites in Finland or Sweden.

You will manage process and power plant engineering, support energy investments and technology follow-up, and help improve the technical performance of industrial BUs. Strong leadership and collaboration across multiple stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience in energy/forest industry.
• Experience leading teams or supervisory roles is advantageous.

• Managing process and power plant engineering and energy initiatives.
• Supporting energy investments and technology follow-up.
• Support investment cases and improve technical performance of BUs.
• Lead and coordinate cross-site engineering activities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Managing process and power plant engineering, VCP‑initiatives at other BUs
• Supporting energy investments and technology follow-up
• Supporting investment cases
• Improving technical performance of industrial BUs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent qualification (pulp/paper, mechanical, energy or electrical engineering)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Proven experience within the energy or forest industry
• Previous experience in a supervisory, or team leadership role is considered an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholder
• Flexibility, initiative and the ability to be a process owner
• Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
• Established professional network and/or strong networking capabilities
• Willingness to travel as required by the role
• Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory; Finnish or Swedish is a benefit
