Job summary

Stora Enso Oyj is seeking a Manager, Energy Compliance to ensure adherence to energy, climate and regulatory frameworks. The role can be located in Helsinki or Stockholm, or at one of the Stora Enso mill sites in Finland or Sweden.

Key responsibilities include managing energy and climate compliance obligations, overseeing EU ETS and emissions portfolio, and monitoring regulatory developments and support schemes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in energy or forest industry is required.
  • Supervisory or team-leadership experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

  • Oversee EU ETS and emissions portfolio, energy taxation, and regulatory reporting.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and EU and national support schemes, ensuring compliance.

Job description

We are looking for Manager, Energy Compliance for Business Unit Energy to ensure compliance with energy, climate, and regulatory frameworks.

The position can be located in Helsinki or Stockholm, or in one of the Stora Enso mill sites in Finland or Sweden.

As Manager, Energy Compliance, your responsibilities include:

  • Managing energy and climate compliance obligations (e.g. REMIT), supporting Group sustainability organization
  • Overseeing EU ETS and emissions portfolio, energy taxation
  • Monitoring regulatory development and EU- and national support schemes
Who are we looking for?

In order to be successful in this role we expect you to have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience within the energy or forest industry
  • Previous experience in a supervisory, or team leadership role is considered an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholder
  • Flexibility, initiative and the ability to be a process owner
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Established professional network and/or strong networking capabilities
  • Willingness to travel as required by the role
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory; Finnish or Swedish is a benefit
