Job summary

Patria is seeking an experienced M&A Manager for our Helsinki office, focusing on pipeline management, valuation and execution of acquisitions, divestments and joint ventures. You will work with internal stakeholders and external advisors across the transaction lifecycle.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, 5–6 years in corporate M&A, and willingness to travel occasionally.

M&A Manager

The M&A Manager helps deliver the Group’s growth strategy through acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, and other corporate development initiatives.

The role manages the Group’s day-to-day M&A activities across the transaction lifecycle, from target screening and valuation to due diligence and execution.

The M&A Manager works closely with Business Areas, Finance, Legal, and senior management, serving as the interface between internal stakeholders and external advisors.

The position takes place in Helsinki, and the chosen candidate should have availability to travel occasionally.

Key responsibilities:

M&A Pipeline and Opportunity Management

  • Manage the Group’s M&A pipeline.
  • Assess acquisition, divestment, joint venture, and partnership opportunities.
  • Evaluate inbound opportunities and investment proposals.
  • Manage transactions from assessment through closing.
  • Prepare investment cases, valuations, and Board materials.
  • Coordinate internal experts and external advisors.

Financial Analysis and Valuation

  • Develop financial models and valuations.
  • Assess performance, opportunities, synergies, and value creation.
  • Prepare transaction and investment recommendations.

Portfolio and Strategy Support

  • Support portfolio and strategic reviews.
  • Contribute to strategy and growth planning.
  • Assess investments in emerging technologies and adjacent markets.
What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who already has experience of the M&A process and who can successfully manage the process with internal and external stakeholders.The ideal candidate has strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, a clear sense of ownership and accountability, and a structured, detail-oriented approach. They are also able to manage competing priorities effectively under tight deadlines.

Key requirements:
  • Master’s degree in finance or a related field.
  • Approximately 5–6 years of relevant experience in corporate M&A, investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, or a comparable field.
  • Demonstrated experience in acquisition and divestment transactions.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation expertise.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • Corporate finance and valuation expertise.
  • Experience of M&A process management and financial modelling.
  • Ability to handle due diligence coordination.
  • Strategic analysis skills
