Job summary

The University of Oulu is seeking a Biostatistician for the Lifecourse Medicine group within Clinical Medicine Research Unit. You will manage diverse data types from nationwide registers, omics, and Wearables, ensuring secure access and compliance.

You will collaborate on analysis plans and contribute to developing statistical methods and papers. Ideal candidates hold a Masters in statistics, mathematics or bioinformatics, are fluent in English, and have experience with large quantitative

Qualifications

Masters degree in statistics, mathematics, bioinformatics or a related field.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Familiarity with at least one commonly used statistical software.
Experience with large quantitative datasets in research.

Responsibilities

Data management including cleaning, harmonisation and documentation of diverse datasets.
Design data management solutions for efficiency and security.
Handle data access and regulatory applications.
Contribute to research and statistical analysis plans and perform analyses.
Provide training on data management and analysis to group members.
Engage in related activities of the research group.
Update methods with new statistical techniques as needed.
Support development of research questions and papers as appropriate.
