Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to drive electrical design across Finland's data centre projects. You will own deliverables from concept to handover and mentor other engineers.

You will coordinate with project managers, clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and adherence to standards, with fluency in English required and Finnish a plus. Experience in medium/high voltage, backup power and critical infrastructure is essential, as is strong

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in Electrical Engineering or related role.
• Proven track record as Lead or Senior Electrical Engineer.
• Extensive data centre / critical infrastructure project experience.
• Experience with medium/high voltage systems.
• Strong leadership and multi-project management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and English fluency (Finnish advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design activities across multiple data centre projects in Finland.
• Own electrical deliverables from concept through construction and handover.
• Coordinate engineering activities with project managers, clients and consultants.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers.

The Role

• Lead the electrical design activities across multiple data centre projects throughout Finland.
• Take ownership of all electrical design deliverables, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.
• Manage and coordinate electrical engineering activities from concept design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to electrical engineers and wider project teams.
• Oversee the design of critical power infrastructure, including medium and high voltage systems, backup power solutions, and distribution networks.
• Work closely with project managers, clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Lead design reviews, technical assessments, and engineering risk evaluations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as the primary electrical engineering point of contact for stakeholders across projects located throughout Finland.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a similar role.
• Proven experience working as a Lead Electrical Engineer, Senior Electrical Engineer, or equivalent.
• Strong background working on data centre, mission-critical, hyperscale, or critical infrastructure projects.
• Extensive experience with medium and/or high voltage electrical systems.
• Experience leading electrical design teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, backup power systems, and data centre design standards.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English language skills are required. Finnish language skills would be advantageous.
