Job summary

Ramboll’s DataCenterFacilities team in Finland is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to design data center solutions within a global network. You will collaborate with colleagues across Nordics and beyond, leading electrical design from concept through handover while guiding teams across disciplines.

The role supports a flexible, hybrid working model, with opportunities to travel as needed and engage with Ramboll’s international DataCenter specialists.

Qualifications

• Experience leading electrical design teams in multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience designing or constructing data center facilities.
• Experience as a consulting electrical engineer.
• Strong understanding of digital design delivery through Revit/BIM 360.
• Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts to clients and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for data center projects from concept design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Design and oversee critical power infrastructure, including MV/LV distribution, utility intake, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, grounding.
• Ensure technical compliance, safety, and quality per standards, codes and client specs.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership, design reviews, and engineering assurance, including drawings, studies, and documentation.
