Job summary

Mercury Engineering invites applications for a senior Planning / Project Controls role in Vaasa. The successful candidate will own the planning lifecycle across projects, drive programme strategy, and act as the senior planning authority on schedule matters.

You will develop and maintain complex schedules (Primavera P6) with WBS, calendars, and logic, monitor KPI trends, and lead critical path analysis. Strong stakeholder collaboration and on-time delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years planning and project controls in large-scale construction.
• Experience with data centre projects is preferred.
• Advanced Primavera P6 for schedules and baselines.
• Strong reporting, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project schedule lifecycle and planning strategy.
• Maintain schedules using Primavera P6 with WBS, calendars and logic networks.
• Provide KPI trends, lookahead reports and risk summaries to senior management.
• Oversee tender schedules and lookahead planning with site teams.
• Support Earned Value Management where required.
• Audit progress on site and ensure schedule reflects reality.
• Contribute to ongoing development of planning tools and templates.
