Jetico is expanding its R&D team in Espoo, Finland, seeking a Software Developer - AI Champion to anchor AI-enabled engineering. You will modernize software delivery with AI-assisted development, embedding security-by-design, and shaping a unified cross-product architecture.

The role covers hands-on AI implementation, refactoring, and integrating AI tools into CI/CD pipelines, in a distributed European team with a hybrid office presence in Otaniemi, Espoo.

Qualifikationen

• Previous professional experience in software development.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to work across an existing, multi-product codebase.
• Frontier AI models: experience with models from OpenAI or Anthropic.
• AI coding tools and agentic workflows: OpenAI Codex or Anthropic Claude Code (aka harnesses).
• AI-native development experience: using AI coding tools for implementation, debugging, refactoring, testing, documentation, and code understanding.
• Ability to distinguish where AI accelerates engineering work and where human review, security controls, and architectural judgment are essential.
• Interest in establishing AI-assisted engineering practices across the development team.
• Experience with, or strong interest in, cybersecurity / security software.
• Ability to understand dependencies across several products and contribute to coordinated releases.
• Capability to gradually take ownership of architecture and cross-product technical direction.

Are you a developer with an AI-native engineering mindset who takes pride in building rock-solid, critical software? We at Talented are looking for a Software Developer - AI Champion to join our client Jetico as a key technical anchor for their expanding R&D team in Espoo, Finland.

Jetico is a Finnish cybersecurity pioneer specializing in endpoint data protection across the complete data lifecycle. Your mission will be to modernize how Jetico builds software: championing AI-assisted development, embedding security-by-design and shaping a unified cross-product architecture. This spans everything from AI-assisted hands-on implementation and refactoring to integrating AI tools into CI/CD pipelines and team-wide engineering practices.

In this role, you will:

• Champion practical AI workflows: Drive the adoption of secure, on-prem AI tools and automated practices across the development team.

• Own architecture and dependencies: Identify technical debt and manage releases across interconnected products, gradually taking greater ownership of the system.

• Engineering support & problem-solving: Collaborate closely with Lead Developers to resolve technical issues, explore existing codebases, and unblock everyday engineering challenges.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a mid- to senior-level developer with strong software engineering fundamentals who naturally leverages AI in daily development workflows. You are a pragmatic problem-solver who works autonomously, champions code quality, and brings fresh ideas while respecting our battle-tested systems. AI is a natural part of your daily engineering toolchain, always guided by solid technical judgment. To succeed in this role, you bring:

• Previous professional experience in software development

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to work across an existing, multi-product codebase

• Frontier AI models: previous hands-on experience with models from OpenAI or Anthropic.

• AI coding tools and agentic workflows: experience with tools such as OpenAI Codex or Anthropic Claude Code (aka harnesses), as well as agentic software development workflows.

• AI-native development experience: confident use of modern AI coding tools for implementation, debugging, refactoring, testing, documentation, code understanding, and technical research

• Ability to distinguish where AI accelerates engineering work and where human review, security controls, and deeper architectural judgment are essential

• Interest in establishing AI-assisted engineering practices across the development team, rather than using AI only as an individual productivity tool

• Experience with, or strong interest in, cybersecurity / security software

• Ability to understand dependencies across several products and contribute to coordinated releases

• Ability to gradually take ownership of architecture and cross-product technical direction

Currently, most of Jetico's R&D team is distributed across Europe. However, this role will become an important anchor for the R&D organization in Finland as Jetico expands its local team. Therefore, you should be comfortable working in a distributed international team as well as working in a hybrid model with the team at the office in Otaniemi, Espoo.
