Job summary

Neste in Porvoo, Finland, seeks an Instrumentation Lead Engineer to drive instrumentation across capital projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, refinery personnel, equipment vendors and engineering partners to ensure safe, compliant, high‑quality deliverables from studies through site execution.

The role offers ownership on major projects, leadership development, and a strong safety culture with flexible work options. English is required; Finnish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Proven track record in instrumentation or automation engineering.
• Leadership capability and ability to lead or grow into a lead role.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation engineering across investment projects from early studies to site execution.
• Ensure high technical quality and safety for instrumentation deliverables, aligned with scope, schedule and budget.
• Drive continuous improvement of specifications and work processes; develop leadership and technical skills.
• Potentially act as owner representative on major strategic projects, guiding EPCM contractors.
