Job summary

Neste in Porvoo is seeking a Senior Design Engineer, Material (Valve specialist) to join the Investment Project Delivery team. You will focus on valve tasks in investment projects, collaborating with maintenance, operations, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure operability and availability of plants.

The role requires defining valve technical requirements, selecting valve types for process conditions, and supporting various design tasks.

Qualifications

• M.Sc/B.Sc in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience of valve selection and fabrication.
• Fluent English, Finnish is an advantage.
• Experience in valve life cycle management.
• Experience in refinery environment.

Responsibilities

• Define technical requirements of valves.
• Select of correct type of valves in specific process conditions.
• Support engineering disciplines in various design tasks e.g. preparing purchase requisitions.
• Act as a technical expert in purchase negotiations and factory auditing.
• Provide support to inspection and expediting during manufacturing of equipment.

We are looking for you, Senior Design Engineer, Material (Valve specialist) to our Investment Project Delivery team in Porvoo.

You will focus on valve related tasks in the investment projects. In this job you will work closely with maintenance and operations organizations to improve operability and ensure availability of the plants. Working closely with project teams as an essential support in valve engineering contributes to project success in quality and schedule. You will also cooperate with vendors and subcontractors verifying compliance of product requirements. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward.

The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas.

Keys to success in this role
