Job summary

Oilon Group in Lahti is seeking an Industrial Automation Engineer to design, develop and optimize automation systems for our heat pump solutions, with a focus on ABB-based platforms.

You will program and configure PLC and DCS systems, lead commissioning activities (FAT/SAT), ensure cybersecurity and safety compliance, and collaborate with engineering, operations and customer service teams.

Qualifications

• Solid technical background in control systems, programming, instrumentation, or digital manufacturing technologies.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and support continuous improvement.
• Experience with ABB PLCs and Codesys is a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation system architectures.
• Modularize and modernize existing control software.
• Program and configure PLC and DCS systems.
• Lead system integration, FAT and SAT activities.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and safety standards.
• Develop and maintain test programs (unit/integration/functional).
• Provide stakeholder support for sales and service.
