Job summary

Axon in Tampere is seeking a hands-on hardware engineer to develop camera electronics and imaging systems. You will prototype, test, measure, debug, and iterate hardware designs, taking ownership of modules and coordinating with partners.

The role is hybrid, based at the Tampere office with on-site Tue–Fri and remote on Mon. Strong soldering, debugging, and system-level thinking are valued, along with clear English communication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware design and prototyping experience.
• Experience with imaging systems and camera modules.
• Strong schematic design and PCB layout review skills.
• Fluent English and good communication in international environment.
• Ability to work independently and own technical activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test electrical hardware for camera products.
• Create prototypes, perform measurements, debug issues.
• Collaborate with electrical, optical, mechanical and software teams.
• Define production requirements with suppliers.
• Own hardware changes and manage product variants.
