Job summary

Normet Oy, a global technology company for mining and tunnelling, seeks a Design Engineer, Hydraulics to design and develop hydraulics for mobile equipment, including battery electric vehicles. Based in Iisalmi, Finland, with potential remote work from Kuopio. You will perform hydraulic calculations, support production and sales, and collaborate with global teams.

A B.Eng. or M.Sc. in a relevant field, plus experience in mobile machinery hydraulics or eagerness to learn, are valued.

Qualifications

• B. Eng. or M. Sc (Tech.) in a relevant field.
• Experience in mobile machinery hydraulics is an advantage or eagerness to learn.
• Experience with E3 design software or Inventor is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Finnish and English is required.
• Willingness to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of Normet equipment hydraulics
• Hydraulic calculations and measurements
• Supporting global production, sales and service organizations
• Participating in proto equipment tests with the testing team
• Co-operation with the Indian hydraulic design team
