Job summary

Normet Group is seeking a Design Engineer, Hydraulics in Iisalmi, Finland to design and develop hydraulic systems for mining and tunnelling equipment, including battery electric vehicles and automated work processes. The role collaborates with engineering, production, purchasing, and support teams, with an option for remote work from Kuopio.

• B. Eng. or M. Sc (Tech.) education in relevant field.
• Previous working experience in mobile machinery hydraulics & mechanics is an advantage, but you may also be just graduating.
• Experience with E3 design software or similar and Inventor is an advantage.
• Full working proficiency with both Finnish and English.
• Readiness to work both individually and as part of a team.
• Openness to learn the necessary skills related to mobile machinery.

We are looking for a

Design Engineer, Hydraulics

to strengthen our hydraulic design team. In this role, you’ll design and develop Normet equipment hydraulics for mining and tunnelling applications including battery electric vehicles and applications for mechanized or fully automated work processes. You’ll work in collaboration with other engineers and production and purchasing teams. The role is based in Iisalmi, Finland, with the possibility to work also remotely from our remote work office in Kuopio.

• Design and development of Normet equipment hydraulics


• Hydraulic calculations and measurements

To shine in this position, we hope you have
