Job summary

You will lead hands-on lab and pilot-scale experiments, collaborate with R&D and manufacturing, and drive technology transfers and continuous improvement in a global context. The role requires an MSc/PhD in a relevant field, several years of experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required.
• Several years of relevant industrial process development experience.
• Strong organic chemistry knowledge with polymers/biobased materials.
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to communicate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute process development projects from laboratory concept through pilot-scale implementation and reporting.
• Perform hands-on lab and pilot plant experiments to develop and optimize chemical/biobased processes.
• Design, analyze, and interpret results to support scale-up and commercialization.
• Collaborate with global teams, manufacturing sites, and external partners.
• Support technology transfers, start-ups, and plant optimization in Finland and internationally.
• Mentor colleagues in organic chemistry methodologies and lab practices.
