Job summary

emagine is seeking a Backend Developer (Java & C++) for a client in Banking & Finance, based in Helsinki, Finland. The role covers full stack lifecycle ownership from integration to testing and deployment, with hybrid work (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

You will collaborate with stakeholders, build automated credit decisioning solutions, and ensure robust, well-documented software using C++, Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. English fluency required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficient in C++, Java, Spring Boot and microservices.
• Familiarity with Maven, Jenkins, Git and Jira.
• Knowledge of Clean Code principles.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the full lifecycle of application development.
• Work on integrations utilizing middle-tier frameworks.
• Perform manual and automated testing.
• Regularly review code, implement improvements, and refactor as necessary.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and cooperate with business to clarify expectations.
