Job summary

Nordea is seeking a back-end developer to join our Asset Finance Solutions team in Helsinki. You will own the full lifecycle of backend services, from design to deployment, and work with Java/Spring in a fast-paced, international environment.

You will contribute to microservices, REST/SOAP integrations, and CI/CD pipelines, using Kubernetes, Maven, and Jira. Strong English and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a back-end developer
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot
• Experience with Kafka, MQ, REST and SOAP based integrations
• Experience in Microservices development
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for the full lifecycle of application development: requirement gathering, design and development, testing, debugging
• Working on integrations, utilizing middle-tier frameworks
• Cooperating with business to gather expectations
• Testing, both manual and automated
• Reviewing code regularly and initiating improvements and refactoring
• Investing in CI/CD platform and configurations and performing technical release tasks
• Maintaining technical documentation
